Summary of Position
We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager for each of the territories listed below to serve PartsXpress® customers. This role is centered on building and maintaining strong relationships with food processing customers in the poultry, meat, and prepared foods industries. Travel is required, often with overnight stays.
Job Description
PartsXpress® is looking for a Territory Sales Manager to be the trusted contact for parts purchasing and problem-solving while ensuring consistent revenue growth across the assigned territory. In this role, you will work predominantly with customers in the poultry, meat, and prepared foods industries, visiting customer plants four to five days a week. Travel is an essential part of the position, and overnight trips are common, though there is flexibility to stay local when customer density allows. Like all PartsXpress® employees, the Territory Sales Manager is expected to project a professional, ethical, and customer-first image, consistently positioning PartsXpress® as the go-to partner for plant needs. Beyond cultivating relationships and driving growth, this role also requires accurate submission of part and equipment details to the inside sales team for quoting, maintaining schedules and contacts within Salesforce, preparing weekly call reports, and submitting expense and attendance records. Territory Sales Managers may occasionally support other territories as needed, and participation in PartsXpress® and customer events is expected. This full-time position offers a competitive base salary with uncapped commission potential, along with company-provided benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other standard perks of being part of a team whose mission is delivering “Everything You Need.”
This job is rewarding, and hands-on! We think you’ll thrive in this position if you have:
- 5 years of experience in sales (experience in food processing is a bonus)
- An ability to socialize for long periods of time
- Excellent phone skills/etiquette
- An ability to prioritize and organize with a strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- An ability to adhere to confidentiality regarding pricing and process
- Willingness to travel and work weekends
- A valid driver’s licence
- BS degree from a 4 year institution preferred but not required
